VIUDHUNAGAR: District Police Virudhunagar seized Gutka products worth RS17.35 Lakh, which was illegally stored in a warehouse near Sivakasi in the Virudhunagar district on Saturday.
Based on the tip-off, the police official team from Thiruthangal Station examined the Go-down owned by Saravanamanamanandan, a Sattur resident, in the village of Eenchar on Jalan Sivakasi-Srivilliputhur.
During inspection, officials found 55 sacks of Gutka products worth RS 17.35Lakh inside down.
Police Thiruthangal enrolled cases and Naveanethakrishnan, 37, and Karthik, 20, from Srivilliputhur, and Ramaraj, 46, Sivakasi in connection with this incident.
The police confiscated Gutka products and cars from them.
The police were looking for three more people, Saravanamanikanandan, Vigneshkumar and Mohamed Yusuf.
Superintenden Virudhunagar District Police M Manohar visited the place and conducted an investigation.
Navanethakrishnan was accused of 10 similar cases and six cases were registered against Saravanamanandanandan.
