Kochi: The Kerala High Court has asked the state government to consider launching a website for students who lack devices to access online classes to register.
Justice King Vijayaraghavan V issued direction while considering the request submitted by seven students from them closely.

In the petition, students have argued that they cannot attend online classes because of the lack of suitable devices in their homes.
Such a situation violates their rights to education, the petition said.
Along with the petition, students have produced a list of students from Mukkada, Chellanam, Cherthala, and Pathanamthitta who do not have access to online classes.
Allegedly in the request that there are still thousands of students without access to online classes.
The court also said by launching a website, people and companies that are interested in supporting students without access to online classes by contributing telephone and other digital devices can also be included.
As per court order, direction to prepare reports on launching a website has been issued for the state government, director of public instruction, and secretary’s head.
The court also asked the government to ensure that applicants can attend online classes.
