Ghaziabad: Five people, including three children, was shocked in Ghaziabad on Wednesday, police said.
The incident took place on Jalan number 3 near the ten Singh palaces in Rakesh Marg from the Gate Sihani police station area.
Tin shade is placed to protect the grocery store from the sun and rain.
On Wednesday morning, due to rain continuously, the cable connected to the electric meter comes into contact with shade.
Two children, who have gone to buy something from the store, touch the iron pole that supports the shade of tin and dies.
Three people try to help them but fall after receiving their own electric shock.
They rushed to the nearest hospital where the doctor said they brought death, police supervisor (SP) Nipun Agarwal.
The deceased has been identified as Janki (35), his daughter Shubhi (three), Simran (11), Lakshmi Shankar (24) and Khushi (10).
The action will begin after investigating the problem, Agarwal added.
