New Delhi: Covid-19 active case in India is set to cross 4 lakh again after 25 days because more than 45,000 new cases are recorded nationally during the second consecutive day on Thursday, with Kerala continues to take into account more than 70% of counting.
India recorded 45,641 new Coronavirus cases, almost the same as the previous day (45,979), according to the Covid Toi database based on the same official data reporting from the country and UTS.
With an increase of more than 10,500 on Thursday, the active case is back close to the 4 lakh mark.
The second active indian case count above 4 lakh on August 8, the number was steadily dipped in less than 3.2 lakh on August 23 before rising again following a surge in Kerala.
The state has 2.4 lakh active cases, almost 60% of the national total.
Kerala recorded 32,097 new cases on Thursday.
The country has reported more than 2 lakh cases in the last seven days.
The daily test level continued high at 18.41% on Thursday, indicating that the daily number in the country would not soon decrease.
