Pune: The district is likely to get 20 doses of the Covid vaccine this month.
The district has received the first quota of 1.3 lakh covishield and 9,920 covaxin doses for the month.
Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director (Medical), Pune Circle, told Tii, “We are sure if the country gets its part (from 2 doses of crore), Pune District will get 20 doses of Lakh Covishield and Covaxin, the highest allocation so far.” Sanjay Patil, Chairman, the Indian Hospital Board of the Indian Medical Association, said that higher allocations would affect paid drives.
On Thursday, around 52,696 beneficiaries were vaccinated in all districts.
