Patna: Patna and many other places in the state of receiving storms and light to moderate on Thursday and the Meteorology Department of India India (IMD) has expected expensive rainfall on Sundays and Mondays.
Warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for several districts in North Bihar for Friday too.
The Patna of the Meteorological Center, on the other hand, is predicted to rainfall in several places on Friday and Saturday, especially in northeastern Bihar, including Kishanganj, Supaul, Madhepura, Saharsa, Araria, Purnia and Kathar on Sunday and Monday.
Rainfall is very possible in many places in Southeast Bihar as well, including Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Khagaria and Jamui on Sunday and Monday.
The rain spell in the region has been associated with a favorable position of the season’s trough line.
In accordance with the bulletin issued by the Patna Meteorological Center on Thursday afternoon, the season’s trough line passed Naliya, Udaipur, Guna, Gonda, Gopalpur and then east to the East Bay of Bengal on Thursday.
“As a result, most places in North Bihar and South Bihar tend to witness lightning storms, lightning and light to rainfall for the next 24 hours,” he said.
He added that the warning to heavy rainfall has been issued for districts in northern Bihar such as the East Champaran, West Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Sheohar, Madhubani Darbhanga, Supaul, Arriar and Kishanganj.
The official said light with moderate rainfall took place in several places in northeast Bihar and on one or two places in the state in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Bihar has received a 16% surplus rainfall in the rainy season until now.
According to the data available on the IMD website, the state has received 944.6mm rainfall from June 1 to September 2 to a normal average of 815.5mm.
