JAMSHEDPUR: The HOWRA-Bound Duronto Express ran more than four from a family on a bridge on the Binjay River in Chakradharpur in West Singbhum on Wednesday.
The victims were identified as Sumi Purty (68), his son Amar Purty (31) Daughter-in-law Jeba (21) and Putri Baha (18).
They are residents of Telanguri Village in Barabambobo in the Sidela-Kharsawan District.
The four crossed their tracks from the bank to a relative home in Lodia in Chakradharpur when they were beaten by the train, police said at the Chakradharpur police station.
The impact of the collision is so large that the victim’s body part is thrown to at least 30 meters, claiming local sources.
The accident occurred about 50 meters from the railroad at 3:30 p.m.
“The four returned from the bank and headed to their relatives’ house.
They were beaten when crossing the track,” Praveen Kumar, officers responsible for the Chakradharpur police station, said that based on the initial investigation.
