Mumbai: The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert to Mumbai, Thane and Palghar districts that predict heavy rain on Sundays and Mondays and very heavy rain in places isolated on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Regional Meteorology Center (RMC) said that the cities and regions that side by side are likely to receive moderate rain to the suburbs for the next few hours on Saturday.
Mumbai RMC states that medium to intense rain spells are very possible in Ratnagiri District, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, and Ghat Pune and Satara regions.
Further added a storm that continued the Maharashtra interior.
“The medium to intense rain spell accompanied by thunder / lightning is very tend to continue in Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli, Latur, Nanded, Aurangabad and Osmanabad for the next 3-4 hours,” said RMC Mumbai.

Hosaikar, said that the latest satellite image showed almost all West coast covered with solid clouds, more towards South Conkan and below.
