KABUL: Women who attend Afghan universities must wear Abaya and Niqab robes that cover most of the faces, the Taliban have ordered, and the class must be separated by gender – or at least divided by curtains.
In a long document issued by the Taliban education authority, they also ordered that female students would only be taught by other women, but if it was impossible then “parents” good characters can fill.
Decisions apply to private and university universities, which have mushroomed since the first rules of the Taliban ended in 2001.

“Practical, this is a difficult plan – we don’t have enough instructors or female classes to separate girls,” said a university professor.
