Engineers cheated RS4L by ‘NRI Groom’

Nagpur: A 29-year-old engineer was cheated by RS4.22 Lakh by a cheater who had been friends with the wedding site as a candidate for NRI Groom, between August 6 this year.
Allegations have identified themselves as Vijay Khare.
The police said the woman, who used to work with an IT company in Pune before, was lured by Khare promised to meet her after she came to India from the US.
Khare then contacted the woman who stated that she had arrived in India, but needed help to change the US currency equivalent to around RS2 Crore at the Indian Rupee.
He was told by Khare that his currency was trapped at Delhi airport he had to pay punishment.
Other cheats also call women posing as officials from Delhi airport.
The caller convinced the woman to make the payment needed as a fine to release Khare cash.
After realizing that he had been cheated, the woman approached Kapil Kapil Nagar Police Station where cheating violations had been registered against Khare and callers.
