Srinagar: Internet services on cellular devices restored in eight of 10 districts in the Kashmir Valley on Monday, police said.
Voice and Internet call services, except the lease line, jerked on Wednesday night, hours after the death of a hard-line separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani in Hyderpora Residence.
Cellular internet services are restored in all valley districts on Monday except Srinagar and Budgam Regency around 7pm, a police officer said.
The suspension of this service in the Srinagar and Budgam districts will be reviewed on Tuesday, police said.
While voice calls and internet services on the broadband and fiber platform restored on Friday night, internet services on cellular devices remain suspended until Monday.
“Cellular internet will open shortly today at 7pm in all districts except Srinagar and Budgam.
Will review about Srinagar and Budgam tomorrow afternoon,” Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar tweeted.
