Mumbai: Domestic airlines have stopped giving a wrapping dress to the passenger of the middle seat after relaxation by the Ministry of Health.
For the first time because last year’s Covid outbreak had a casual guideline for the ministry for domestic trips where the airline did not have to provide passenger masks, facial shields or hand sanitizers.
The airline must ensure passengers wearing a mask / face cover.
“The airline operator will save mask reserves, facial shields, hand sanitizers for passengers if they are unavailability / such things need to be replaced,” said the August 25 revised guidelines, Superseding Guidelines May 25 last year.
“There are no requirements for using body coveralls.
Apron for passengers, “said another guide.
“We saw a trajectory of a declining case throughout the country after the peak in the case reported during mid-May as part of the second wave,” he said.
When cases increased in March last year, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), in order March 23, instructed the airline to keep an empty middle seat for social distance.
As soon as the air trip was banned.
When the trip continued in May, DGCA let the airline fill in the middle seat if the passenger in the chair was given a cover dress.
