Noida / Ghaziabad: With a little dose available, noida failed from its target to drive mega vaccination on Monday but Ghaziabad surpassed.
While Noida was inoculating 25,818 people against the target of 27,000, Ghaziabad managed to give a shot to 72,062 recipients of the target of 62,100.
Officials in Ghaziabad said they had established more than 35 vaccination camps and 188 centers with assistance from various social organizations.
In Noida, 22,505 people were given shots in the center of 121 government, while the rest of the recipients were vaccinated in private facilities.
In government centers in Noida, 16,193 people received the first dose, while 6,312 was given the last shot – the trend was upside down after almost a week.
Since August 29, Noida has managed more second doses than the first.
With a total of 15,97,233 doses until Monday, Noida crossed the target of 15,89,815 first dose in the 18-plus category.
But now the second dose demand increases in this district, the Ministry of Health has decided to increase the number of slots from Tuesday, something that has been desired for some time now.
“In the regular center, we will have a second and first dose in the 70:30 ratio.
People can order slots online and visit the nearest center of them.
There are also special centers for the second dose where just walk-in is permitted,” said Dr.
Neeraj Tyagi, District Immunization Officer in Noida.
The vaccination center only for the second dose has begun at Spectrum Mall, where 200 doses will be available every day.
With this, this district only has seven centers only for the second dose.

GP Mathuria, Nodal Vaccination officer in Ghaziabad, said even though they had received the target to analyzen 62,100 people on Monday, the government had given them 80,000 doses.

Mathuria said additional doses had been sent to all centers so that no receiver was sent back without a shot.
So far, Ghaziabad has given 21,60,921 doses.
