Ahmedabad: The disease transmitted through vectors in the city has registered a large surge from January to September compared to the same period last year.
The city recorded a 168% surge in worrying in dengue cases while the Chikungunya case rose 110% from January 20 to September 4.
The AMC health department data revealed that from January 20 to September 4 last year, the city has reported 255 cases of dengue fever; That number rose to 684 in the same period this year.
The case of the Chikungunya last year in this period was established in 196; The number is 412 this year.
Throughout the 2020, AMC has recorded 432 cases of dengue fever and 923 chikungunya cases.
Dengue cases in the first nine months of this year have jumped 58.3% compared to all last year’s figures.
Apart from this, the Ministry of Health data showed that the case of Falciparum in the period was questionable at 43 against 35 years ago.
Malaria kasing rose slightly from 436 years ago to 489 this year.
The Ministry of Health has taken 6,984 blood samples so far in September.
The Civic body has collected 441 serum samples for cases of dengue fever until September 4 this year.
Water diseases have also soared in this period, AMC figures show.
A total of 64 cases of cholera have been registered in the city starting January 21 to September 4.
There was no cholera casing last year.
In the period considered, the city tifoid case has reached 1,322 from 965 years ago.
