Washington: A member of the US Parliament has sought sanctions against Pakistan because it was reported to help the Taliban offensive in Panjshir.
“If it is confirmed, not only do we have to cut all help, we must impose sanctions.
Pakistan now shows what they lie for years, they created and protected the Taliban,” said Congressman Adam Kinzinger.
Kinzinger said this in the tweet after the Fox news report quoted Sumber Centcom said that the Pakistani military helped the Taliban offensive in Panjshir, including 27 helicopters full of Pakistani special forces, supported by Pakistani drone strikes.
Kinzinger Congressman represents the 16th of the Illinois Congress district.
