Chennai: Because demand for growing online learning, the Global Coursera platform has announced a number of initiatives to accelerate growth and operation in India.
Coursera has partnered with top Indian institutions (including IITS and ISI), announcing new company customers, and introducing several platform features to better serve Indian students and campuses.
Coursera also increases Indian operations to become a hub for the entire APAC region.
“With 12.5 million registered students, India has become the second largest market for Coursera.
The country also ranks the highest in the growth of new learning globally, adds 7.5 million students since January 2020,” said the company.

“Half of 2.6 million global registration for guided projects since the launch of the May 2020 they came from India,” said Peron.
The Ministry of New Education Institution of Coursera includes IIT-Bombay, IIT-Guwahati, Indian Statistics Institute, and Ashoka University, who now take the total number of university partners for up to 10 in the country.
Some new courses include postgraduate postgraduate diplomas in applied statistics from the Indian Statistics Institute and Electronic Power and Motor for Electric Vehicle Certificates (EVS) from IIT-Bombay.
Coursera also prepared a team of ‘Student Services’ in India to respond to students better globally.
