Thane: Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) on Thursday told that the drive of Covid-19 vaccination in twin cities will remain suspended for five days of this month.
Inoculation drives will be canceled in the days because of the celebration of Ganeshotsav in the region.
“Ganeshotsav is celebrated on a large scale throughout the state.
To avoid discomfort for residents when they step out for vaccination during the celebration season, the Civic body has decided that all public centers in the region will remain closed September 10, 11, 14, 16 and 19 , “Notifications released by KDMC.
The Civic’s body has asked people to record the same thing and refrain from visiting vaccination centers on that date.
The authorities also appealed to people not to let their guards go down during the celebration season and not a crowd in public places.
The neighboring city of Tane also canceled the inoculation drive on the same date as the reasons for Ganeshotsav.
