Kolkata: The school education department on Thursday asked the district judge to report school conditions before reopening.
The Bengal government has decided to allocate funds for school improvements that are closed for more than one and a half years.
School education commissioner has sent a letter to all DMs asking them to evaluate according to their needs and regulate the preparation of the reopening of the school and estimate damage.
Estimated costs must be sent on September 15.
For Kolkata school, an official engineer must declare damage to funding.
Anesh Haldar, Members, Secondary Teachers and Employee Associations (STEA), said, “Now the situation is controlled, the government must reopen the school.
It has been done in many countries.” Secretary of the Community for the Principal and Principal, Chandan Maity, said, said that “The government has just initiated the process, we know that many schools are not in good condition now.
So, there is a probability of the date of reopening the school, which has been damaged, may be delayed.”
