New Delhi: All adults in Sikkim, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Ladakh and Lakshadweep have received at least one dose of Covid vaccine because the cumulative jab given in the country crossed 74 crores on Sunday, the UNI Health Ministry said.
About 50.25,159 vaccine doses have been given until 8pm on Sundays, according to data from the Cowin portal.
“Congratulations on these countries and the United States to manage the first Dosage of Covid-19 vaccine by 100 percent of the adult population.
Special awards for health workers in these areas for their perseverance and commitment,” the Office of the Ministry of Health Union Youngialyiya tweeted.
Along with the Tweet, the Office of the Minister of Health Union also installed a chart stating that Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Dosage (6.26 lakh), Goa (Dosage of Lakh), Himachal Pradesh (55.74 lakh dosage), Ladakh (dose 1, 97 lakh), Lakshadweep (53,499 dosage), and sikkim (5.10 lakh dosage) is the state and UTS with a population that qualifies 100 percent vaccinated with the first dose vaccine.
Drive rural vaccination was launched on January 16 with health workers inoculated in the first phase.
Vaccination for the forefront workers began in February 2.
The next phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive starts from March 1 for people over the age of 60 and those aged 45 years and over with the condition of the specified co-morbid.
This country launched vaccination for all people over 45 years from April 1.
The government then decided to expand the vaccination drive by allowing everyone above 18 to vaccinate from 1.
May vaccination exercises as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from Covid-19 continues to be reviewed regularly and monitored at the highest level, the ministry said.
