Thiruvananthapuram: The CPI has found mistakes with CPM in the defeat of their candidates in the selection of recently held assemblies.
The CPI election review report has said that there is severe erosion at CPM vote banks in elections such as Haripad and Paravur where CPI candidates taste defeat.
The report also said that in many constituencies where CPM had candidates, they did not cooperate with constituent partners in the campaign.
It shows the election in constituencies such as Kasaragod, Uduma, Trikaripur and Konni for this.
The report showed that in this constituency even the election committee meeting was not held.
In Haripad where the opposition leader who was then Ramesh Chennithala was a Congress Candidate, there was a severe voice erosion at the Vote CPM bank, the report said.
LDF cannot lead even in Panchayats dominated by CPM like Kumarapauram and Trikkunnapuzha.
This shows that there is a very big sound erosion here.
Likewise, in Paravur where Congress V D Sathean is contested, CPI candidates do not get enough support from CPM local leadership.
In the constituency of Chathannoor where the party candidate G S Jayalal won, there was quite a lot in the sound surveyed for LDF candidates.
For defeat in the constituency of Karunagapally also the party passes money on CPM.
CPM’s voices were not surveyed at several booths where the party had a strong root, the report was suspected.
The CPI who observed that the entry of Kerala Congress (Mani) had not done good things for LDF in the election of assembly, however, had found that KC (M) lost several seats because the CPM sound was not surveyed there.
The report said Jose K Mani’s defeat at Pala was for personal reasons and it was not political.
This report assumes significance because CPM has a report of the selection review has appointed that the CPI has reduced weak candidates in Paravur against V D Sathean.
CPM also all praise for the role of KC (M) has an impressive LDFS performance in the Central Travancore area.
