New Delhi: emphasizes the need to preserve and promote Hindi language and all other regional regional languages at the same time, Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah said Tuesday that Hindi is a “friend” and not other regional competitors or enemies.
“Hindi must be promoted in co-existence in other regional languages,” Shah said in a speech at the Hindi Dianwas celebration here.
He said India must preserve their local language for several generations to come by making them flexible, functional, and beneficial to all.
Shah suggested that the same as September 14 is the opportunity to rejust and review efforts to promote Hindi every year, the same and simultaneous exercise must be done to promote all local languages too.
He underlined the role of Hindi, along with ‘Swadeshi and Swaraj’ in the struggle for freedom, and said this would be one of the main themes of the ‘Azadi Amrit Mahotsav’ celebration throughout the year to mark the 75th anniversary of Indian independence.
Shah appealed to parents and elders to talk to their children in their mother tongue, whatever the media teaching in their school, to ensure that they remain connected with their roots and familiar with their culture, tradition and history.
The Minister of Home Affairs, who has ensured that Hindi has a pride in places in terms of teaching media and files related to their own services, said Hindi has received a boost with Prime Minister Narendra Modi who shows all international fora people in Hindi, helping all Indians overcome ‘ Hesitated ‘in speaking’ Rajbhasha ‘.
“Why should there be doubts to speak Hindi? Someone is judged by his thoughts, actions, and dedication, not by the language he said,” he said.
Shah also said the constant outreach of the prime minister to all stakeholders in Hindi during the pandemic ensured that the nation could put a unified war against Covid-19 with a little damage.
“During this time, there were around 35 interactions with the Prime Minister with the main ministers, governors, trading agencies and discussed the nation, all in Hindi.
This helps the whole nation to stay connected and install a united battle (involving the state, state, and 130 million public), “he said.
Shah also remembers that more lawmakers speak Hindi and their own regional language in parliament after 2014.
“It helps them express their concerns and views better regarding the development of their country,” he said.
Stating that the concept of ‘atma-nirbhar’ (independence) is not limited to manufacturing or trade but also means independent in language, Shah says many developed countries in the fields of science and economy are purely by talking to their own language.
“One can express itself the best in language and language itself will never be a barrier in communication,” he said.
Shah said he had asked the history of the struggle for freedom in America, written in their local language, to be translated into Hindi so that all Indians can find out.
Welcoming new education policies, Shah credits PM Modi to ensure that the technical education syllabus is translated into five Indian languages.
He said that to start, technical courses in 5 regional languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Bangla – will be launched at 14 colleges in 8 states.
