Chennai: People for ethical animal treatment (maps) India have sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in front of Gandhi Jayanti, urging vegetarian leaders to declare October 2 as a ‘national meat free day’ to respect the dedication of Mahatma Gandhi for non-violence.
In the letter, the Indian map notes that being vegetarian is “moral principle problems” to Gandhi.
“Encouraging our nation to follow the moral example of Gandhi will protect smart and sensitive animals from being locked up in defilements, separated from their babies, and be carefully executed for their body parts,” said CEO of the Indian map of Manilal Valliiyate in a letter that.
“Starting a tradition that promotes peaceful vegetarian food is an eternal way to pay tribute for the impact that is not measurable Gandhi.” In his letter, the Indian map notes that trench meat also reduces the risk of suffering from cancer, heart disease, diabetes and obesity; Helps fight climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and even helps prevent future pandemic.
Trusted by many experts that Covid-19 originates or spreads from living animal meat markets, and SARS, swine flu, and bird flu has also been associated by limiting and killing animals for food.
“Leaving animals from our plate shows respect for other species, this planet, and our own body,” said Map of Indian Vegan Food and Nutrition Specialist Dr.
Kiran Ahuja.
“We encourage everyone to celebrate the Heritage of Mahatma Gandhi every day, just by eating healthy and delicious plant foods.”
