NEW DELHI: Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju has exuded optimism in the athletes’ performance in the forthcoming Tokyo Olympics and said”India is prepared to proceed and glow”.
The Tokyo Olympics will be held from July 23-August 8 year after becoming postponed in 2020 because of COVID-19.
Rijiju encouraged every day to cheer for the athletes including from the megaevent because they continue to prepare to the Tokyo Olympics.
The sports ministry on Saturday shared with a movie on Twitter wanting every athlete that the best for your Tokyo games.
“I encourage each day to cheer for our athletes as they train to win laurels for India despite tough times.
Yes, India is prepared to proceed and glow in the #Tokyo2020 Olympics,” Rijiju stated.
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Thursday affirmed that its full based bound to the Olympics would soon be vaccinated from COVID-19 ahead of the Tokyo Games.
The IOA also has said its whole contingent has received the initial dose of COVID-19 vaccine, even although some are completely vaccinated too.
