Ludhiana: After the death of Shahi Imam from Punjab, Maulana Habib-Ur-Rehman Sani Ludhianvi, a simple ceremony was held in the historic mosque Jama here on Tuesday, to boymen her son Maulana Usman Ludhianvi as Shahi Imam from Punjab.
A spokesman for Jama Mosque said that according to the will of Maulana Habib-Ur-Rehman Sani Ludhianvi, his eldest son Maulana Mohammad Usman Rahmani Ludhianvi was given symbolic sorban and made Shahi Imam from Punjab.
He added that in addition to other religious and political leaders, the Head of the Indian Imam, Maulana Muhammad Umair Ilyasi also attended the function and conducted a turban ceremony from Imam Shahi Baru.
