Pune: The woman brings Gauri, a god known as Mr.
Mr.
Ganesh, a house with great enthusiasm on Sunday for a three-day celebration.
Gauri and Ganapati Visarjan was held on Tuesday.
The woman looks carrying the god ‘Mukuts’to local lake and a water body for Visarjan, but the amount is much cheaper than in previous years.
“Lots of households have a brass or metal (head) Idol so that Visarjan is a symbolic movement to bid the god goodbye until next year.
After immersing it in water, we took it out and save it to use the following year.
Some people buy the same made of pop or Clay every year, so they do the right vanarjan, “said Vaidhi Suryawanshi, a resident of Bibvewadi.
“Gauri Puja is a celebration of femininity in all its variations.
This year, my husband and children also helped prepare all Gauri’s favorite dishes like Bhakri, Bhaji, sweet dishes, and modax,” said Priyanka Kulkarni from Sadashiv Peth.
“It is believed to be Gauri come to his mother’s house and the pampering worshipers when he was there.
Last year, there was no fanfare, but this year all our women’s relatives came to Haldi-Kumkum which on Monday,” said Rutuja Patil, a resident of Gangadham.
Rashmi Bhedekar, from Kothrud, said, “As the only family daughter, I also spoil many things along with Gauri.
We wore our idol in my mother’s jewelry and bought a new saree for her.
I also invited my colleagues to have lunch and Darshan.”
