New Delhi: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi aged 71 years on Friday, there is a growing debate whether he will remain at the government leaders even after 2025.
The reasons behind the debate are BJP rules that are not written from the minister and position of the organization to reach the age 75 years.
Prime Minister Modi will be 73 years old during the selection of Sabha 2024.
If BJP won the 2024 parliament election to PM for the third term in a row, he could retreat as PM after September 17, 2025 because he would finish the age of 75 years.
This can occur if BJP strictly follows the rules that are not written at the age of their leaders in the post minister and party.
However, BJP can treat the PM Modi case as an exception and allows it to continue clasps in the past of 75 years.
At present, Modi is the fourth PM waiter in the country.
While PT Jawaharlal Nehru’s first PM was in post for 17 consecutive years, his daughter Indira Gandhi served as PM for 16 years in a different term.
The predecessor of Modi immediately Manmohan Singh was PM for 10 consecutive years from 2004 to 2014.
Modi will surpass Manmohan Singh in 2024.
He must remain on posting up to 2031 to surpass Nehru and Indira Gandhi to create a record for the longest to serve PM India.
However, as far as other senior BJP leaders, they have retired after Modi to PM in 2014 and the Minister of Home Affairs became president of the party in the same year.
The latest to stop is BS Yediyurappa, who resigned as Chair of the Karnataka Minister in July at the age of 78 years.
One important reason for coming out Yediyurappa is believed to be his age.
Even before the 2014 Sabha selection, several senior leaders – such as Yashwant Sinha, Jaswant Singh, and Shatrughan Sinha – were not given a party ticket for the contest.
All three of these leaders raised rebellious banners.
Jaswant Singh is contested as an independent candidate and is lost.
Even though BJP dropped his son Jayant Sinha from the same Hazariibagh constituency in Jharkhand, Yashwant Sinha continued with his criticism of Modi and the party.
Finally, Yashwant Sinha and Shatrughan came out of BJP while Jaswant Singh died after a long disease.
Unlike Jaswant Singh, Yashwant Sinha, and Shatrughan Sinha, the two most senior leaders of BJP LK Advani and MM Joshi were given BJP tickets for the 2014 Sabha’s selection.
However, when Modi became PM, both Advani and Joshi – who had won parliamentary elections – no Included in the cabinet.
BJP created a new mandal margdarshak and put both of them besides former Prime Minister of Aila Atal Bihari Vajpayee in it.
Since then, several leaders who passed the age of 75 were accommodated at the Governor’s post.
They include Anandiben Patel, Kalyan Singh, Bhagat Singh Koshiyari, Najma Heptulla, Vara Vala, and Lalji Tandon who are used as Governor of Uttar Pradesh (UP), Maharashtra, Manipur, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
While Anandiben Patel and Koshiyari continued to become governors and Maharashtra, Kalyan Singh, Vala, Heptulla and Tandon completed their requirements in their respective countries.
Kalyan Singh died on August 21 while the tanton died on July 21, 2020.
