Nagpur: Limited spells but definitely an increase in the number of new Covid-19 cases in Nagpur and Buldhana regencies seems to have ended this week.
Both districts, for the third day in a row, have reported new cases in one digit despite doing a large number of tests.
Overall, Nagpur reported 8 cases after conducting 4,692 tests on Friday, while Bulldhana reported 2 new patients from 1,073 tests carried out in the last 24 hours.
Recovery also increased in both of these districts which showed that a surge was not the beginning of the projected ‘third wave’.
Overall, Vidarbha reported 19 new cases on Friday.
Bhandara, Amravati, Akola, Gadchiroli and Wardha report zero cases.
A total of 11,396 tests were carried out in all 11 districts in the region.
The level of testing (TPR) of all districts is below 0.5%.
No Covid deaths reported in Vidarbha on Friday.
Overall, 1 patient from another country had died of Covid-19 in Vidarbha in September so far.
The Covid-19 curve firmly attached to the base line in the countryside in the region.
Cases come from several vidarbha urban pockets.
A total of 192 patients were in care in all 11 districts, with 69 highs in Nagpur Regency.

With 2 patients recovering that day, 40,504 of them had recovered until now.
Gondia now has 3 patients in care, 2 of them in house isolation.
Bhandara: All 416 tests conducted in the district in the last 24 hours negative for Covid infection.
There are no patients recovering on Friday.
Now, four patients are under care in the district.
Gadchiroli: Of the 709 tests carried out in the last 24 hours, not one person tested positive at Gadchiroli.
One patient recovered on Friday.
Now, from 30,752 total cases, 29,993 have recovered in the district, while Covid Toll is in 746.
A total of 13 patients are in care.
Akola: No sample of 677 tested in the last 24 hours is positive covid in this district.
One patient recovered on Friday.
Now, from 57,849 total cases, 56,696 have recovered to date, and 17 are in treatment.
Washim: A new covid patient and two recovery marked on Friday in the district.
This requires a total case to 41,736 and recovered to 41,092.
The Covid District Toll is 638.
Now, only 5 patients are in care.
Bulldhana: A total of 1,073 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours in bulldhana and 2 of them turned out to be positive covid.
Two patients recovered on Friday.
Now, 27 patients are in care.
