Prayagraj / Haridwar: Mahant Narendra Giri, President Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP), was found dead at Shri Math Baghambari Gaddi in Prayagraj on Monday night.
He is 62 years old.
His body was found hanging from the ceiling in the room.
The police claimed to have restored suicide notes from his room.
They also claimed that Mahant Giri accused one of his students Anand Giri from ‘mental torture’ which forced him to take extreme steps.
Giri is the head of ABAP which is the body of the peak decision making of 13 commands of the recognized Hindu monastery.
The report said some Giri disciples told the police about the incident around 5 pm on Monday.
Senior police officials rushed to place afterwards.
Taking a serious note about the incident, Chairman of the Minister of Yogi Aditynanath had been looking for a detailed report on the incident from the country’s house and brass to the police.

“Speaking with TOI in Lucknow, ADG (Law and order) Prashant Kumar said, followers of Mahant Narendra Giri had lowered his body from the snare after breaking the door before the police reached the site.
Confirming that handwriting suicide notes have recovered from the scene, said ADG, “he accused one of his students, Anand Giri from mental abuse.
We have tracked Anand Giri to Hardiwar and the police team have been sent to arrest him.” He said the scene of the incident and Suicide is checked forensically.
The source said the suicide note flowed into four sheets of paper (written on both sides).
In a suicide note, Mahant Narendra Giri has stated that he has lived a life with respect and wants to die respectfully.
Note Suicide talked about his student Anand Giri had caused mental harassment to him.
Informed sources say the main part of the suicide note is more than ‘will’ containing details like the students who have to get what.
In Hardiwar, Mahant Mahant Anand Giri described the incident as a murder who was seeking an investigation into the incident.
Speaking with reporters in Ghaziwala Village, Ashram R minutes before he was detained by the police from the Shyampam police station in Haridwar, Anand Giri said his name in a suicide note was part of the conspiracy.
