Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 3,131 new cases of Covid 19 and 70 new deaths, while 4,021 patients recovering from an infection in the state, said a health ministry official.

Maharashtra now has 40 712 active cases, the official said.
The number of daily cases and deaths witnessed a rise compared with Monday, when the state reported 2,583 new cases of Covid 19 and 28 deaths.
