Dubai: United Arab Emirates on Wednesday cut the number of places where facial masks must be worn when turning up to open the 2020 exhibition world exhibition next month and as a decrease in the official Covid-19 case number.
UAE needs a mask in all public places and among different household members in private vehicles.
While holding on a rules of two meters, the mask can now be removed when doing sports in public places, on the beach and in the pool, in a hair salon and in medical centers when treated.
The change followed a steady decline in everyday cases reported since early July, the national emergency crisis and disaster management authorities said in a statement brought by the WAM state news agency.
Local authorities must display signs where it is allowed to remove the mask, he added.
Dubai, one of the seven UAE Emirates, opened the Expo 2020 World Exhibition on October 1 which hopes to bring 25 million domestic and foreign visitors.
Everyone who attends more than 18 Expo must be vaccinated against the Coronavirus or negative test to enter.
