Trudeau entered the election Monday to lead a stable minority government that was not under the threat dropped – but he hoped that the Canadians would reciprocate with the majority to navigate pandemics better than many other leaders.
Still, Trudeau struggled to justify why he called the early election remembering the virus, and the opposition was relentless in accusing him to hold the sound of two years before the deadline for his personal ambition.
In the end, the bet did not pay off, and the results almost reflected two years ago.

“Trudeau loses his ears to get the majority so I will say this is a bitter victory for him,” said Daniel Beland, a professor of political science at McGill University in Montreal.
“Trudeau and liberals have saved their skin and will remain in power, but many Canadians who do not want to end this summer, the selection of pandemics may not be entertained about the entire situation,” he said.
