Pune: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will have the administrative nature of the district 23 villages joining without compensation.
Property such as primary health care centers and school buildings will be submitted to PMC by district administration.
“District administration has demanded that financial compensation must be given to provide these properties.
But PMC has not approved the request.
The problem was discussed at the meeting held by Deputy Minister of Chief Ajit Pawar,” said Commissioner PMC Vikram Kumar, while speaking at a meeting of public bodies.
Chosen members crossed the party line demanding the status of development and work plans to be carried out to the villages to join the meeting.
PMC has been the biggest city corporation in Maharashtra after the inclusion of these villages in July.
The PMC limit has increased to 518.77 square kilometers after this merger.
The development plan (DP) for 23 which is combined in PMC’s jurisdiction will be designed by PMRDA.
The state government has issued a notification of it.
The PMC area population rose 4 lakh after this merger.
