Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 258 new Covid-19 cases and one death on Wednesday with the state having 4,946 active cases.
Cumulative cases and deaths now reached 6.64.164 and 3,908 respectively.
A total of 249 patients were declared recovered on Wednesday, taking total recovery to 6,55,310 because the recovery rate reached 98.66 percent.
The country tested 55,419 samples for Covid-19 on Wednesday, completing 2.6 crore tests in total at a rate of 6.98 tests per million.
Hyderabad greater recorded 69 cases on Wednesday, while neighboring Rangeddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Sangeddy each recorded 21, 13 and two cases.
Elsewhere, Karimnagar – with 25 new cases – see the highest number of cases among other districts.
