Patna: Minister of Health Pandey Mangal on Thursday praised the services provided under Ayushman Bharat Pradhanmanri Jan Arogya Yojana (ABPM-Jay) and said three Lakh Bihar had carried out their care under IT in three years.
Pandey spoke at an event organized by Bihar Swastha Surakha Samiti at the three-year completion of Abpm-Jay, known as Ayushman Bharat.
“This scheme has given a new life to many people and gold cards giving power to beneficiaries at the hospital,” Pandey said, adding 940 private governments and private hospitals had been listed under Bihar and the Golden Card had been distributed among 30% of.

This scheme was launched by PM Narendra Modi three years ago from Ranchi.
It aims to provide health insurance Rs 5 lakh per family per year for economically poor families.
Pandey said in Bihar, three lakh people had completed care so far and Rs 300 Crore has been spent on them.
He said throughout the country, 28,000 hospitals have been carried out where beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat can complete their care.
“Previously, poor people had to face difficulties in getting treatment towards their relatives.
They must borrow money or sell their jewelry and land.
But now they don’t have to face such a situation.
The respected PM has started this scheme so that poor don’t need to take a loan for get treatment, “Pandey said.
Additional Health Department Secretary-Cum-CEO of Bihar Swasha Surakha Samiti, Kaushal Kishore, said there were 1.08 families of crore in Bihar who were entitled to benefit and so far 30% of them had obtained a gold card.
“We will try to cover the remaining family,” said Kishore Toi.
