Gurugram: Residents of Kendriya Vihar, who bought a flat between 2011 and 2018 in the Sector 56 Housing Group Society, will regain most of RWA’s membership transfer fees.
In seven years since 2011, home buyers have paid a one-time transfer fee of 1.5% from the applicable circle level.
However, in 2018, the Haryana government limited costs at Rs 10,000.
Some residents who have paid a much higher amount between 2011 and 2018 moved the High Court to RWA’s decision to collect 1.5% of the level of the circle.
At the annual general meeting on Sunday, it was decided that those who bought a flat Kendriya Vihar in the seven years will be returned the amount of membership transfer fees after reducing the 10,000 RS which was announced by the government in 2018.
Every penalty for final payments will also be returned.
For example, Sanjeev Srivastava, who claimed to have paid Rs 95,000 as a one-time fee, will return Rs 85,000 after deducting RS 10,000.
“I bought this flat in 2013 and paid Rs 95,000 for RWA membership.
It’s really illegal.
We are happy that Rwa has now made a decision that is the interests of the population,” he told Ti.
The amount of refund, RWA member said, it might come to around Rs 4-5 Crore.
“The resolution has been approved by the Committee.
All citizens who are charged with more than Rs 10,000 will be returned extra quantities.
We have obeyed the direction of the authorities concerned.
Until now, we are working on modalities.
We must change several community regulations to carry out the refund process.
