Coimbatore: Loco pilot from the passenger train saved a drunken man lying on the railroad near Thudiangur on Monday night by applying the brakes and stopping the train on time.
This video incident became a viral on social media.
According to police Railway Government (GRP), the incident was reported after the main double train Electric Unit (memorable) left the city train intersection for Mettupalayam around 5.55 nights on Monday.
K R Rahman, a lawyer who recorded the incident video and posted on his Facebook page, said he was surprised to see the train stop near Thudiangur at around 6:10 a.m.
“I am a regular train traveler and stop only at the North Railway Station and the Caramadai Coimbatore.
When approaching Thudiangur on Monday night, the Loco pilot applied the brakes, carrying the train to a sudden time.
Loco pilot got off the train and forced the man to lie down On the track to leave the place with the help of Home Guard Dharmaraj.
The man was drunk, “Rahman Toi said.
He said Pilot Loko had seen the man on the lane from a distance.
“While he applied the brakes, at least five train trainers had passed the man before stopping.
The drunken man did not suffer injury.” GRP said they did not register any case against a drunk man.
“He would die if he tried to get up from the track while the train moved.
Pilot Loco made the right decision by stopping the train when he saw it, because everything would happen otherwise.” They said they had decided to intensify patrols along the track to control people’s movements.
