Chennai: The efforts of a woman to kidnap her eight-year-old son of her husband’s arranged prisoner in Chromepet failed on Wednesday night after the police intervened.
The boy’s father has submitted a complaint and the police team was intercepted in Villupuram cars with the child’s mother and some of his friends.
They took the boy to Tirunelveli.
However, the chromepet police were not arrested as the boy’s father Mohammad Ismail, 29, pulled his complaint after he realized that his wife Fatima was involved in the incident.
On Wednesday night, a police officer said, Ismail’s son Mohammad Siddique played outside his home in Chromepet when a car stopped a few meters.
The residents called Siddique who went there and entered.

Ismail and several residents of the region immediately ran to the chromepet police station and submitted complaints, almost surrounding the station and demanding fast action.

At the Chromepet police station, the question with both parties revealed that Ismail and Fathima had separated seven years ago after their son was born.
Since then the boy was raised by Ismail and Fathima was not allowed to meet him.
Fathima, who has moved with his mother in Tirunelveli after separation, has made several previous attempts to take his son home but failed, the police.
He finally decided to get away by force, an officer said.
The boy finally reunited with his father.
“The two families calm and decided to sort out things between themselves.
The couple had been in the old slowdown that had to bring the child,” the officer said.
