Ahmedabad: The four house guards were killed and the others were seriously injured after their car collided with a truck in Kapadvanj Tehsil from the Gujarat Kheda district in early Friday, police said.
The accident took place near the village of Kavh in Molass-Kapadvanj Road, they said.
“Five friends, all of them serve as a home keeper and come from the city of Kapadvanj, have gone to Rajasthan to visit Ranuja Temple in the car.
On the way back, their vehicle collided with a truck.
While four of them died in place.
One more suffered an injury, “JK Rana Police Sub-Inspector said.
The truck driver escaped from the place after the accident, he added.
The deceased was identified as Ramesh Jhala (55), Mahesh Jhala (48), Narendra Rathod (35), Shailesh Rathod (33), all residents of the city of Kapadvanj.
Their friends were injured, Dilip Soanki (29), were shifted to the nearest hospital for treatment, police said.
A pine under the IPC part 304 (a) (causing death due to negligence) was registered at the Kapadvanj Taluka Police Station, said Rana.
