Kolkata: With storm water in the parts of the Bhowanipore constituency refused to recede until Wednesday night, BJP members prepared logistics to help people reach outlets on Thursday morning.
BJP leaders managing micro selection held several meetings to assess the situation.
Bengal President BJP Sukanta Majumdar, who was in Delhi on Wednesday, spoke to the leaders of the country.
“The government seems to have implemented Duare Jol (water at the door).
The drainage system is almost collapsed,” he said.
The BJP poll manager said that they would open Helpline from Thursday morning.
“People can choose any party, but it’s not fun for them to reach the polling station.
There will be a central number, which can be accessed by any voters,” said BJP Bengal Leader.
“There will be provisions for cars and cars for people to reach voting centers.
We will also help people who find it difficult to step out,” said Navin Mishra, a member of the BJP State Committee.
BJP leaders claimed water refused to recede from Ekberpore, Kidderpore, Alipore Baru, Road Belvedere and Diamond Harbor Road until late at night.
“Water starts receding in several regions, but water remains in several bags, such as Ward 77,” said BJP Priyanka Tibhal candidate.
