Houston: Former Houston Charter School Student shot an employee on the campus Friday morning before quickly handing it to the police, the authorities said.
The shooting occurred at around 11:45 a.m.
at the Southwest Secondary Pread, the Charter School serving students in sixth to 12th.
Police Chief Houston Finner said the man shot through the school door, then shot the employee behind.
The employee was serious in the hospital, said Finner.
There are no injured students, the school said in a statement.
The police did not release the names of injured employees or shooters but said they could quickly identify him because he was a former student.
The participation of students in the mask flowed out of school before 1pm, held their hands to show the officers, they did not carry weapons.
Some students told reporters that they saw blood while leaving the building.
“You don’t want anything like this to happen,” Finner said, “but I want to praise the students.
