Taipei: 20 Chinese Air Force aircraft further entered the Taiwan Air Defense Zone on Saturday, the Defense Ministry said in Taipei.
Previously, a record of 38 Chinese military jets crossed to the Taiwan defense zone when Beijing marked the establishment of the Chinese People’s Republic, said Taipei on Saturday.
The Show of Force on Chinese National Day on Friday near the Democrat Island itself, which Beijing claimed as part of his area, came in the same week he accused England in sending warships to the Taiwan Strait with “evil intentions”.
The Taiwanese defense ministry said he turned his plane to broadcast a warning after 22 fighters, two bombers and one submarine anti-aircraft entered the zone of the identification of the Southwestern Air Defense (Adiz) on Friday.
The second batch of 13 jets crossed to Adiz Taiwan later on Friday, in a rare night attack, bringing a total to a record 38, according to the ministry.
Adiz is not the same as the territorial territory of Taiwan but includes a much wider area that overlaps with parts of the Chinese air defense identification zone and even including several mainland China.
Beijing often sent military aircraft to the Taiwan Air Defense Zone in strength and last week flying 24 aircraft to the area after Taiwan was applied to join the main Trans-Pacific trading pact.
