MADURAI: Workers of Moolakarai crematorium at Madurai have Contributed Rs 20,000 to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to Battle Covid-19.

They passed over a cheque to Madurai district collector Aneesh Sekhar once he ran a surprise inspection in the crematorium on Sunday.
The collector and company commissioner S Visakan ran a review in Thathaneri and Moolakarai crematoriums to assess basic conveniences and facilities offered for the general public.
The sole in Thathaneri is straight conducted by Madurai Corporation whereas the Moolakarai crematorium is conducted from the Madurai Mid-Town Community Trust on behalf of this company.
The officers were surprised in the gesture of their workers since they came forward to contribute part of the wages for the general cause.
Even though the collector enjoyed their dignity, the commissioner told him he had been indebted to them.
K Mathanthe president of Madurai Mid-Town and also chairman of this crematorium undertaking, said the workers had proposed the participation and mobilised the finance four days past.
While they had been likely to go to the collector, then he made a surprise trip.
They passed over a cheque to him after obtaining his consent.
They’d made a similar donation throughout the cyclone Gaja, Mathan stated.
The officials loved the maintenance of the centre and also made a couple of ideas for improvement.
They’ve ensured them of enhancing things pointed them out.
There are 12 workers in the crematorium.
The crematoriums are working round the clock in present allowing relatives to get rid of figures of Covid-19 infected individuals in the very first.
