Raipur: Amid speculation about the possibility of changing guards in Chhattisgarh who was governed by the Congress, Head of Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday confirmed that his country would never be able to become Punjab, and said two countries only had one thing in common – that had numbers in their names.
Congress has been a chaos in Punjab after Amarinder Singh stopped as the minister of chairman and head of the Navjot Singh Sidhu party unit resigned from his position ahead of the crucial assembly election in the state early next year.
“Chhattisgarh will always remain chhattisgarh.
It can’t be a punjab.
The two countries only have one thing in common that both have numbers in their names,” Baghel told reporters in Helipad here when asked that BJP had equated Chhattisgarh and Punjab for the age of Congress.
“Punjab is the land of Punjing (five) AAB (water).
It consists of five rivers.
Similarly, Chhattisgarh has obtained its name from ‘Chhattis’ (thirty-six) ‘GARH’ (fortress).

The political corridor in Chhattisgarh was full of speculation the possibility of leadership changes in the Congress government immediately after about two dozen MLA parties, considered close to Baghel, flying to Delhi in the last three days.

Singh Deo Camp claimed the leadership of the top Congress in 2018 had agreed to submit a cm position to him after the government completed half the term.
