Check the card for the main roads in the new sectors

Gurgaon: Some of the main stretches in the newly developed city sectors tended to undergo ‘special’ repairs in the coming months, say GMDA officials.
The poor condition of the streets of new sectors has become a problem for occupants of the area.
According to residents, important stretches not only make commuters difficult but also worsen public transportation problems, with taxi drivers refusing to rise them for the same reason.
According to officials, the road considered for makeover is the main road sector 62/65, 58/61, and 59/60, as well as the road outside the sector 114.
In total, almost 4 kilometers will be repaired at a cost of around Rs 7.7 Crore.
The problem also appeared for discussion at the GMDA Core Planning Cell (CPC) meeting last month, where it was revealed that no treatment other than patchy was carried out throughout the stretch over the past eight years.
These roads, officials said, built by the authority of the Urban Development Haryana (Huda), who are now known as Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP).
At present, the authority has opened a public consultation for improvement projects to get feedback from commuters and occupants in the plan.
“These roads were built by Huda and have been for a long time.
However, there was no treatment ever done by Huda on them.
Last year, we did annual maintenance, patchwork work, but this year we felt that patchwork would not be enough.
Because That, there are plans for special improvements, “said Major Shaveta Sharma, Executive Engineer (Infrastructure-I), GMDA.
“We hope that work can begin at the end of October if everything goes according to plan, and the feedback is positive.
It will take a maximum of six months to complete the work after working starting,” he said.
As part of the repair work, officials said, overlay treatment will be carried out along the stretch of using Bituminous concrete 40 mm, the road sign will be made “for the guidance and safe movement of vehicles, road furniture will be installed” for safety, assistance and traffic control ” , and the mandatory sign board and warning will also be established.
In addition to this change, repair work at the Master Road of Sectors 58/61 and 59/61 will also include repairs to disposal slabs, and the construction of the path, while repairing roads outside the sector 114, in addition to including repair of disposal slabs as well, will also require the application of leveling courses .
GMDA officials anticipate that improvements will help not only ensure the “safe and convenient” trip for users but will also prevent a decrease in road assets.
