Bareilly: In a surprising incident that took place at the Kotwali police station in Sambhal on Thursday, a 40-year-old man was beaten to death by the cook to “create a commotion above the burning Chapati”.
The victim, a transporter, had ordered food from Dhaba opposite his shop in Moradabad Road.
After a fight over the burning Chapati, the cook went to the victim’s shop and hit his head several times with a heavy stick, killing him in place.
The deceased has been identified as chaos, a resident of Shehzadi Sarai.
According to information from Sambhal police, defendant Anil, a resident of Hallu Sarai, worked as a cook in Dhaba opposite the Shop Khempal.
Both of them allegedly had an argument after the restaurant served him Chapati who was burned for food.
Sambhal’s supervisor Police Chakresh Mishra said, “The chef allegedly went to the transporter shop later at night when he fell asleep and attacked him several times in the head with a wooden stick.
We have collected CCTV’s footage who confirmed that the attacker was the cook with the deceased had been fighting.
“SP (City) added,” According to the recording, the defendant escaped from the point after the attack, leaving Khempal fainted.
The defendant was then arrested.
During the interrogation, he claimed to attack the transporter in anger, and said that the transporter argued and behaved badly with him.
“Police Sambhal said that a FIR was registered with the defendant under the IPC part 302 (murder).
Khempal survived by his wife and four of his children.
