Patna: Unknown thieves fell asleep with RS1.5 Lakh in cash and new clothing from the private residence of the Congress of the Mohan Mohan Jha State President in Kautilya Nagar under the airport police station in Patna on Friday.
This is the VIP area with former minister or MLAS has their residence.
Jha is in Delhi.
His son Madhav Jha said he found his father’s room in a two-story building locked from the inside in the morning.
“We opened the door and found the room searched,” he told the media.
The thieves had entered the room through the window on the back of the building.
Sachivalaya ASP Kamya Mishra reached a place for an investigation even before Sho, Arun Kumar, who said the incident seemed to have occurred between 1am and 3 in the morning.
“The family and staff have slept around midnight.
The thieves had entered the bedroom through the window by pulling out the iron grill and removing the screws that were repaired with him,” Sho said.
“They took RS1.5 Lakh stored in a suitcase with several new clothes in a wooden cabinet,” he said.
He said Jha’s wife, son and three staff were at home when the incident happened.
Kumar said the Jha security guard was deployed at his official residence and was not in his personal home.
Sho said there was no CCTV camera at home or around it.
He said Madhav had filed fir connected.
