Pune: After being closed for about one and a half years, schools in Pune Maharashtra district were reopened for physical classes on Monday.
Students look excited when entering school and authorities they welcome them back, because physical sessions are continued for grade 8 to 12 in the city and for grade 5 to 12 in rural areas of the district.
Safe! You have managed to throw your votelogin to see the results months, Minister of School Education Maharashtra Varsha Gaikwad has announced that the physical class will continue in schools throughout the state on October 4.
In accordance with the standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the state government for the reopening of the school, it is not mandatory for students to attend the physical class.
If they want to attend, they have to submit approval letters from their parents.
Anagha Mande, Ahilyadevi’s high school principal based in the city for girls, “We make special arrangements to welcome students on campus.
Masks and sanitisers are distributed to students on their arrival.”
Someone dressed like a clown looks welcomed students at Rajiv Gandhi Academy of E-Learning School & Science Junior College, and the teacher welcomes students with flowers.
In many places, instead of school transportation, parents come to bring down students outside of educational institutions.
“Even though offline class has continued, we make the same online session available for students who join the class of home,” said another principal while welcoming students back on campus.
Maharashtra Headmaster Association State spokesman Mahendra Ganpule told PTI that the schools in the city of Pune and the district rural areas followed all the SOPs set by the state government.
