Greater Noida: A duo brother died after a quick truck hit their bicycle from behind at GT Road in Dadri on Monday afternoon, the police said.
The accident occurred near Mihir Bhoj Iti College at GT Road at around 1:30 a.m., when Shruti Bhati was 21 years old and his brother Prince (19) traveled towards Dadri on their bicycle to consult a doctor.
Both Shruti and Prince fell from the bicycle in the hit and suffered serious injury to the head.
“Finally, they gave up on their injury in place.
Only the prince wearing a helmet,” said a police officer.
Prince is the youngest of five siblings, including Shruti, Prati, Sapna and Kshama.
He studied in class XII while Shruti pursued after graduating.
Relatives said that Shruti had suffered a fever over the past few days and the prince took him to a doctor in Dadri.
Dadri Sho Pradeep Tripathi said that they had grabbed the truck.
“The truck driver escaped from the place leaving his vehicle.
Actual efforts to identify the driver,” Tripathi said.
The body was sent for post-mortem and fir it was filed in this case, police said.
“FIR has been submitted due to death due to negligence and driving rash against unknown truck drivers,” Sho said.
