Patna: Bihar CM Nith Kumar on Monday said he would hold a meeting of all political parties after completing assembly by polls in the state to make a round decision to accommodate the caste-based census.
He said, “Representatives of all 10 political parties will sit together and hold discussions on the caste-based census in Bihar.
We will make decisions with the approval of all 10 parties.
The meeting will be summoned after the poll.” Two constituency of the State Assembly – Kusheshwar Asthan and Tarapur – will go to Bypolls on October 30.
Vote counting will be held on 2.
This November means that the All the proposed party meeting will be held after November 2, CM said he would consider all the rules and regulations that existed before reaching any decision about the problem of holding the caste census.
“We will make a decision only after consulting leading political parties,” he said.
“I have full faith that all political parties in the state will reach consensus on the problem of caste census.
There will be consensus throughout Bihar for this issue,” Nitish said while repeating his request to conduct a wise population calculation during the census-2021.
Nitish further said the delegation of 10 political parties from Bihar had met PM Narendra Modi (on August 23) and explained to him everything that supports caste-based census holders throughout the country.
“During our meeting with PM, we – all political parties from Bihar – demanded that caste-based census must be held throughout the country.
Now, it’s up to the center to think about our requests and make a decision,” Nitish said.
Delayed long demand for conducting caste-wise census was revived in July this year after the United Government was information about Lok Sabha that it would not mention a wise population, except those from SCS and STS.
Replying to written requests at Lok Sabha on July 20 this year, the State Union Minister for House of Nityanan and Rai (which also came from Bihar) said that the Indian government has decided as a policy problem not to mention the caste-wise population other than SCS and STS in the census.
