Washington: US President Joe Biden maintained confidence in the Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell despite criticism from Senator Elizabeth Warren that the central bank leader failed to regulate the financial system effectively and did not discuss the perception of ethical abuse by high-ranking officials.
“He does have trust in Powell at this time,” said White House spokesman Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters in the Air Force, referring to Biden.
